German Growth

Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 August 2026.

The short version

German Growth keeps everything on your device. There is no account, no server of ours for your data to sit on, and no analytics or advertising of any kind. We cannot see your progress, because it never reaches us.

What the app stores

Your progress is written to your phone's own storage and stays there: which lessons you have finished, which nouns and case patterns you have practised and mastered, your streak, your milestones, and your settings and reminders.

Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.

Data we do not collect

Notifications

If you turn on practice reminders, they are scheduled locally by your phone at the times you choose. Nothing is sent through a server, and we are not told whether you open them.

Purchases

There are none. German Growth is free, with no in-app purchases and no subscription, so there is no payment data of any kind for us — or Apple — to hand over.

Looking words up on the web

The app can open an online dictionary — Wiktionary, DWDS or dict.cc — inside a web view when you ask it to. Those are independent websites with their own privacy policies, and visiting one is the same as visiting it in your browser. The app does not send them anything about you, and does not do this unless you tap it.

Children

German Growth is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
